Jubilee Year Pilgrimage

Join us for a pilgrim experience in the beautiful valley of Glendalough, visiting the sacred sites associated with the sixth century Saint Kevin and the monastic settlement which flourished through the “Golden Age of Celtic Christianity”, with a pilgrim guide from the Glendalough Hermitage Centre.

Monday 7th July

Cost €40 Adult, €20 children (covers bus, pilgrim guides and lunch in the Wicklow Heather).

Bus to collect people from Harold’s Cross Church car park at 9.15 am and return by 6 pm approx.

• Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Alex in St Kevin’s of Laragh (designated a Jubilee Church for this year).
• A guided pilgrim walk (an hour and a half / 2 hours) through the monastic city, stopping at The Round Tower, Cathedral, St Kevin’s Cross, St Kevin’s Church/St Kevin’s Kitchen, and The Deer’s Stone with walk by the Green road.
• Time to explore the visitors’ centre or walk to upper lake.
• An alternative option with pilgrim guide for those less mobile.
• If interested, names and money will be taken after Mass.
• This pilgrimage is open to all in the partnership group (Harold’s Cross, Mount Argus, Beechwood Avenue, Rathmines & Rathgar).
