Update on Mass Arrangements

Arrangements concerning Coronavirus

Due to increasing restrictions introduced by healthcare/government authorities on public gatherings, the following arrangements will apply in our church.

Mass cannot be celebrated in public. Mass will be celebrated behind closed doors on Sundays at 10.30 am and will be transmitted via Webcam.

Weekday Mass at 10.00 am will also be celebrated behind closed doors on Monday to Friday – available via Webcam.

Full details of our Holy Week Ceremonies are now available.

The Bishops of Ireland advise that, in the current emergency, all are dispensed from the obligation to physically attend Sunday Mass.

Eucharistic Adoration on Saturdays has been suspended for now.

The Pastoral Centre is closed for all activities.

For those joining in Mass from home, by making an Act of Spiritual Communion we express our faith in Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist and ask him to unite himself with us. This prayer was written by St Alphonsus de Liguori:
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

A Coronavirus Prayer
.
Lord Jesus Christ, you travelled through the towns and villages curing every disease and illness. At your command, the sick were made well. Come to our help now, in the midst of the global spread of the coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love.
Heal those who are sick with the virus. May they regain their strength and health through quality medical care and the love of their friends.
Heal us from our fear, which prevents nations from working together and neighbours from helping one another.
Lord Jesus Christ, healer of all, stay by our side at this time of uncertainty and anxiety.
Be with those who have died from the virus. May they rest in your eternal peace.
Be with those who care for the sick.
Be with the families of those who are sick, and protect them from illness and despair. May they know your peace and put their trust in you. Amen.
